Nearly six feet tall, blond Rebecca Romijn-Stamos was born (on November 6, 1972) and raised in Berkeley, California, the daughter of a Dutch custom furniture-maker and an American-born Dutch mother who taught English as a second language.
Rebecca had not planned on being a model, she did it to make a little money to visit Paris for the summer, having plans to go back to college in the fall. That all changed when she was put on the cover of Elle magazine. She also landed a contract with Biotherm, that she has currently had for seven years.
It was her role in "Femme Fatale," opposite Antonio Banderas, that won her critical acclaim. In this film noir thriller, Rebecca plays a woman attempting to go straight, while being haunted by her shady con-woman past.
In the fall of 1997, Romijn-Stamos made her small-screen debut as David Schwimmer's outrageously sloppy girlfriend on NBC's Friends. Shortly afterward, she tried out to replace Daisy Fuentes as the host of MTV's House of Style, but bombed the audition.
Rebecca has had a cameo appearance in the Austin Powers sequel, "Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me".
She currently resides in Los Angeles with her husband of five years, actor John Stamos.
